One cheese, one wine...

If you have any questions please click on 'Ask Eric'

Every month a sommelier joins me to explain a wine to go along with the chosen cheese...

Don't hesitate to use the forum to ask us for more information about other wines too.

Gamay de savoie, Cru Chignin

The colour is very light and clear and the nose is on small berries and red fruits with undergrowths notes. On the palate the first sensation is fresh and straight,it has a fruitiness quite strong with some red currant and cranberry aromas. This wine from Savoie is very fruity as all the Gamay which is the typical grapes from the Beaujolais region. With the Tomme de Val d'Isere the wine makes a nice contrast by its fruitiness matching perfectly the creamy side of that cheese.

So...here we are back from the festive season! One cheese, one wine is coming soon near you...We organise with Olivier the Tomme de Val d'Isere and Gamay de Savoie tasting in Highbury on the 28th.of January. We were glad to welcome you for that tasting, and wish you had a very good moment with us...

Our next cheese and wine tasting took place in Highbury branch the Saturday 28th of January. It was the Tomme de Val d'Isere and Gamay wine from the Savoie.
